About Smile Savers
Our family-friendly dental practice offers friendly, prompt service and has been modelled on the use of modern equipment and methods since our inception. Our goals extend beyond dental health and include the general well-being of our patients.
A short history of our practice
The practice as we know it today was initially founded 70+ years ago by Dr Cecil Ferreira. Dr. Thinus Kotze bought it over in 1979, and Drs. Beneke and Scheepers bought it from him in 1984. In 1994, Dr AJ Pienaar bought it from Dr Scheepers.
Dr Buks Faul also visited the practice as a periodontist from 1988 for about a decade. Dr Elwin Mussman Orthodontist B.Ch.D (Hons) M.Dh (U.P) has been visiting the practice since 1987/1988. Today he still visits the Kroonstad practice every four weeks from Bloemfontein and sees his orthodontic patients for a whole day.
Recent technological updates & progress
The practice has gone digital since 2013 with X-ray scanners that show 2D on computers. We have a Panorex X-ray machine that scans sinus cavities and rotates 360° degrees around the patient. This allows us to see the entire jaw from left to right.
Our Cerec Sirona machine simplifies crown and bridge work. With one visit to our practice, patients can have porcelain and cosmetic dentistry procedures completed, and even see their new teeth being made.
In 2022, we also acquired a Sirona Omnicam that takes 3D digital photos and scans for crown and bridge work.

8 years agoDr Beneke & Pienaar is some of the most capable dentists out there. The equipment that they use is state-of-the-art and sometimes it feels like you inside some kind of a spaceship when they take pictures of your mouth. It doesn't matter what kind of teeth problems you've got these guys will sort you out

5 years agoCleanliness,cool excellent and fast service.Friendly staff and explanations where one does not understand.At times you get healed before being attended to.Keep up that good spirit.
